Mercedes-EQ

What Does Mercedes-EQ Mean?

The EQ part of the Mercedes-EQ name means electric. The letters following EQ mean the class level of vehicle.

EQS

The new EQS is an all-electric sedan with the same level of luxury and style as the S-Class, only with increased electric performance and efficiency. The new EQS 450+ comes equipped with an electric motor mounted on the rear axle that exerts 329-horsepower and 406 pounds-feet of torque. The EQS 580 4MATIC model uses an electric motor on both the front and rear axle, delivering a total system output of 516-horsepower and 611 pounds-feet of torque.

All EQS models come with lithium-ion battery pack that delivers 350 miles of range in the EQS 450+ model and 340 miles in the EQS 580 models. You can charge the battery from 10-100% in around 11 hours 15 minutes using a standard at home charger, or go from 10-80% in around 35 minutes using a DC Fast Charger.

EQE

The new EQE model is also an all-electric sedan that's based off the E-Class, and while it's slightly smaller and doesn't achieve as much strength as the EQS models, every EQE model is designed to deliver elegance, comfort, and achieve impressive athleticism and range. The EQE model features two trim levels. The EQE 350+ models use a single electric motor on the rear axle to generate 288-horsepower and 391 pounds-feet of torque, all with a 0-60 time of around 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph. Stepping up to the EQE 500 model will offer two electric motors, producing 402-horsepower.

The EQE 350+ models use a 90kWh battery pack with a driving range of more than 300 miles, with the ability to charge 10-100% in around 9.5 hours using a standard 240-volt charger. Using a DC fast charger, you can charge from 10-80% in around 31 minutes.

EQG

Although the EQG models are still upcoming, we do know what we can expect. The EQG lineup will be based on the G-Class, only now using all-electric power. There's no concrete details available, but we expect to see hulking horsepower and off-road capability, all with revolutionary electric engineering. Inside the cabin, you can expect to be treated to the utmost sophistication and accommodations for all your passengers.

EQB

The EQB all-electric SUV is based on the Mercedes-Benz GLB SUV lineup. Again, there isn't concrete details available, but we do know that the EQB 250 model is the base model that will deliver 221-horsepower and front-wheel drive, while the EQB 350 model will have two electric motors, all-wheel drive, and deliver greater strength. Range is predicted to be at least 200 miles, but that's not set in stone.
