How to Charge Your Mercedes-Benz eSprinter

The charging port is located beneath the emblem on the grille. The Mercedes-Benz eSprinter gives you the option of charging your vehicle from home, at a public charging station, or at a charging depot. Regardless of how you choose to power up, you're in control of every moment.

eSprinter Charging Basics

There are a multitude of ways to charge your vehicle. The most common approach is to use a 120V outlet, which is easily accommodated at nearly any residence. While it's the most common because it's also the most convenient, this method takes longer to charge than using other methods. Our public charging stations, like DC Fast Chargers, get you in and out quickly.

To access your charging port

Press down on the Mercedes-Benz star affixed to your grille. It opens to display a charging port with two available charging connections: an AC charging port (J1772) and a DC charging port (CCS1). This vehicle takes an AC charge to the tune of 9.6 kW or a DC charge to the tune of 50 kW. You can also upgrade in order to accept a 115 kW DC charge. DC charges faster than AC, getting you on the road quicker.

To activate charging

At a public charging station, download and access the Mercedes me Connect app or through MBUX. Register and authenticate the charging station. When you connect the charging cord to the charging port, the indicator will blink orange for a few seconds, then turn green when charging. If a problem arises, the indicator light will flash red. Once charging is complete, the indicator light will turn solid green.

To disconnect

You can use your key to unlock the car and charging connector. You can also press the release button and remove the charging cord. The indicator light will turn white, letting you know that the charging cable is completely disconnected.
